I'm a big fan of Udon Crew graphic artwork, but I got a little disapointed with these Marvel Vs Capcom 2 promo art pieces. I expected something more similar to the original artwork of the game, more colourful and clean. Joe Vriens is a great artist, as I see in his DA gallery, but, in my opinion, he didn't do a very good work in these pieces. He has excelent drawings in his portfolio, but this series of Marvel vs Capcom drawings is just 'regular'. Looks like he did it in a hurry, or maybe wasn't feeling comfortable to draw these characters. Anyway, I'm still a big fan of all Udon artists and I'm sure you'll do a much better job next time. =]

I'm a fan of the cleaner versions too, especially the more robotic/less organic versions of Mega Man, but these aren't bad either. It's just an artistic style.

awesome work seeing these makes it more and more hard for me to hold out for the PS3 version right now my 360 is taunting me lol anyways very awesome work guys =)

This is a neat piece. I love the textures, but I can't help but feel that Megaman is too...Muscle-y? After all, he's a cute little robot boy! Muscles aren't things robots usually have, I think...

I'd have to agree with what you said. Rockman/Megaman is basically a boy robot; just like Tetsuwan Atom/Astroboy, from where Rockman is possibly based from. Moreover, I can't imagine Astro being muscular as well.

Come to think of it, I used to draw Rockman with muscles way back in Grade III, but then again, I didn't like his look back there. XP

Going back to this drawing, with all due respect to Mr. Vriens, he could have just maintained Rockman's little-kid look while being bad-ass cool.
